Re: The Dam Rap Game

What in the hell is going on with Rap music a.k.a Hiphop music? I was riding with a friend when he started talking about a popular artist and how he wouldn't spend a dime on the artist because he wasn't saying anything thing. I think the rap game is so watered down dumb down that its hard to see the real from the fake in todays music industry. When you turn the tv on and look at the Mtv, Bet artist you see the same old run of the mill artist saying the same thing. Record Companies have a control factor now with artist you can's say anything that will get people stirred up. Clear channel has control of every major radio station in the United States what does that mean for you and me, it means controlled conversation we aint playing what we cant control. The String has been pulled and the puppets sing their little hearts out. Fuck the Rap Game is the topic because rap music doesn't have that same firer as it once had. Remember Fuck the Police well just think what that did for a natin of folks who had been getting harrassed by the police.

This is just my opinion so feel free to comment

You Better Buy A Gun

Since the election of out countries frist African American President we have seen a milestone of events good and bad. Barack Obama has given the American public new hope and the possibilty to dream again. In the mist of all this joy there are some people who doesn't wish us (people of like minds) well. Death threats, terroist attacks, ecomomic recession, assissination threats, car jackings, suicide notes, and robberies are things that linger in hte not so distant future for the common man or women along with our new found president. In these tuberlant times the catch should be "You Better Buy A Gun" protect yourself, your family, and your property because you work to hard not too. Just the other day a former Atlanta Falcon Football player was car jacked in the drive way of a fast food restaurant. Another example, of why "You Better Buy A Gun" is teenagers were followed home after a party by other teens who started some trouble. Shots were fired and three teens were killed for no reason at all. Since the election gun sales have soared 85% according to Fox 5 News. Pawn shops are seeing an increase in sales due to the election of the democratic party and the first black president. Some gun owners are concerned that our new president may not favor the constitional amendment right to bear arms. So the catch phrase for the next decade should be "You Better Buy A Gun" so protect your self, your family, and your property and buy yourself a _______________ !!!!!!!!

T.I. and Paper Trail

If you listen to the radio and watch videos there is not a station that T.I is not on. The Album paper trail is hitting all the charts hard and listeners are buying the album. T.I. has put together a great album which has gave the buying public something to cheer about. Many have been saying hip hop is dead, I say artist just need to make some dam good music and these label executives need to being scared and let some real conversation fly over the air waves and you will see a surge in album sales.

Even with the slow economic condition people have found money to go buy albums T.I., Jasmin Sullivan, and many others have gotten buyers to move on there products. Hip hop must still be alive...

Album Sales

A few artist have released new music in the month of September and August. Young Jeezy, Ice Cube, Little Wayne and several other artist have released brand new projects. Album sales seem to be constant with a few artist going gold and platinum. We consumers haven't really heard a loud bang from anyone in the industry since 50cent Get Rich or Die Trying. Artist are making sales, but not with a major impact on the market. I think this is due to the Technology that has come into play and how people are buying music. Also, I think the marketing for alot of artist is not as effective as it should be when an album is released.

Internet Radio Vs. Commerical Radio

I think that internet will eventually be the perferred choice for the consumer. Commerical Radio just has to be strings that have to be pulled in order for you to listen to what you would like. Internet radio give the power to the listener to listen to what they like with out all the commericals. Anyone who operates and internet radio station has complete control over the airwaves. So, yes someday commerical radio will be second to internet radio.

G Unit

Is the G-unit click making a comeback? Rumors Rumors have started saying 50cent and the G-unit is slowly coming back around to lead the hiphop pack again. If you were listening about a year ago you heard the stories of turmoil inside the G-unit family. 50cent had problems with other artist Like The Game. Young Buck wanted to strike out on his own and make a name for himself in the cash money camp. Many magazines have reported that the G-unit camp is slowly coming back around but is the public tired of G-unit? Lloyd Banks says "he wants to expose the fake in the game." Well whatever is going on they better make something happen quick, because folks is tired of the 50cent crew and just want real hiphop back.

Hiphop Got Quite

Hip hop has been quite lately now one has really sayed nothing or been into anything since the T.I. situation. I think the movement of hiphop is slowly going back to creative rhymes and an awaking of the people. Give me your opinion on where you think hiphop is right now.

Dumb Down Rappng

Since the release of my album Cool Water "A Good Education Gone Bad", I have noticed that many people have made strange comments about my music. Todays' rap music is simple with just hooks and some water downed words. I have noticed that with my albumthat people are say, "I had to stop and think about what your were saying." Its Time out for the game playing with hiphop music, because we got real issues going on in the hood. Our kids can't think, or use critical thinking skills inorder to solve a problem. Today's music is doing just what they want which is keep you dumb down so that you don't see the sneak attact when it comes. Music is meant to evoke emotions and draw a feeling whether its happy mad or sad. Dumb down rappping has been going on now for a while, but its time for a change. I say you need to check out the album Cool Water a Good Education Gone Bad !!!
