The five time NBA champion got heated over a call by the referee, and called him a fag for making such a punk call. David Stern quickly fined Kobe Bryant a 100,000.00 dollars to set a tone that we won't tolerate such comments in the NBA toward gays and lesbians. The question I have is why doesn't David Stern fine folks when we they the word nigga in the NBA? Whats funny is once you get into the spot light you gotta behave, and watch what you say, or Daddy will give you a spanking, and put you on punishment for not acting like a good little boy or girl. I have heard many white entertainers say nigga and they never lost a movie deal or got fine a 100,000.00 dollars for saying something like the word Nigga. Kobe like all ball players ain't got nothing personal against gays, but the term is used for being soft on a call,or when you playing ball. I think David Stern really was just kissing up to the Gay Rights activist so he wouldn't see protest or a boycott on the NBA . Kobe was caught on tape using the so sensitive "F" word during a game so David had to act swiftly. Way to go Dave, now if you just start fining everyone for every bad word they say then the society would be better as a whole! Nigga ...lol

Dr. Dre releases his head phone called Beats by Dre. 50 Cent come along and then releases his head phones called Sleek by 50. What's so funny about this is that people are buying the brand of the artist not the head phones. The head phones are not that great in my personal opinion that they are worth between $150-300.00. The consumer who is not savvy in business don't understand that you are being positioned to believe that these head phones are so special that no other head phones can compete.

Cover of Nas I was reading something lately where rap artist Nas owed the IRS (internal Revenue Service) 6 million dollars. Nas owes money on property and some other things that has made him deliquent on his taxes. I often wonder how these artist can amass great wealth, but can handle the bills that create right and pay the folks they owe. Is it that most these artist don't know how to handle their money or is it that the IRS is desinged to beat these young artist out of the wealth that they create?

Record Label Artist Control

Record labels are losing control of a lot of artist today. Artist today are feeling the independent spirit. Record labels have created the 360 deals to combat the lost of record sales. The 360 deal allows the record company to get a percentage of the artist other endorsement royalties. Artist control diminishes when you signed with a record label. A company like American Idol gets control and a percentage of all the money that the artist makes from other endorsement.

In today's music business, many artist are striving for Independence due to the record companies new business called a 360. Artist from the major label to the independent labels are trying to be more in control of the own actions so they can reap the benefits of the money that's being made with their music business career.

The Power 106 fm Cali Christmas Concert just passed and some of your biggest names in hip hop graced the staged. Waka flocka, Rick Ross, and a host of others were in attendance to do their dance on stage. But, what I found to be most interesting was that veteran artist like Ice Cube Too Short and E40 were rapping as well. These are some guys who have been rapping since hip hop began and they are still rapping twenty years later after all the wealth and fame that they have had with their careers. Too Short has put out more albums than any other artist to date. I am really amazed at how focused and centered these artist are about the music.

E40 has been repping the bay area for years. The reason I say these dudes are 21st century G's is because it takes some balls and guts to continue to want to rap and even still be loved by fans after twenty plus years in the game. The funny part is they don't show no signs of letting up, when most rappers do two or three albums and holler im retiring these dudes still keep dropping heat all over again.
