Is Hiphop Dead or Alive!!!!!

Its 2007 and the question still lingers is hiphop dead or alive? You probably have a better answer than me, my name is Cool Water author of the "Cool Water Report" and a rapper myself. The discussion about hiphop has been an on going topic now for quite sometime.Whether you like the lyrics, or the beats does it really matter if Hiphop is dead or alive, as long as one gets to eat off the fruits of its labor? I think that is the real question that has people feeling like there is no love of the culture for hiphop music? Is money the only thing that people care about? You and every other person will have a different opinion about the statement that was just made. What makes ones' style of rap the realest form of music really can only be decided by the consumer, or person buying the music don't you think? The rap game now is a mulitbillion dollar business unlike twenty years ago when cats where just rapping for the love . Do you think it should or shouldn't be about the money? Do you think that some cats have lost there luster for the game, and are not talking about anything of substance?
